MTB-Worldcup Offenburg: Full sun, not just for our ladies!

Bernhard Mollnhauer Allgemein

Already the fourth Worldcup of Offenburg is history.

After a rainy Thursday the track was full of mud and slip, so there was a strange crashing atmosphere. But the race days were pretty good and Kaiser weather brought a new record in spectators for the event of Offenburg.

A shining sun for the EASTON ROCKET-girls brought riding into the general classement of UCI-Mountainbike-Worldcup! Even though the started from 87th and 94th position from all in all 123 women due to the UCI start-up-procedere.

Silke took a well 49th position and earned 19 UCI-points, Tatjana took the 55th place and on this way she earned 13 UCI-points.

Due to the variable rate it was very difficult to go forward, win postions and to assert themselves. Often the power disappears after the chase in the final laps.

Over a long term both fought side by side, Silke was wearing the german national jersey-outfit.

Both represented Germany at 5th and 6th position in a world class field and maybe on this way they opened up their chances for qualifying for the European- or World Championchips. Especially Silke is focussed by the officials of BDR due to her first year in categorie women elite.
